The queue boards have been relocated
Queue progress, return times, and completed actions are now visible from the main desk. The stores ledger no longer requires opening to check what is building.
Governor, a brief word about the main desk.
When you return to the settlement after some hours away, it should not take five minutes to establish what has happened. For a time, it did. The queue board was in the wrong room. The return times required two doors and a corridor. Completed actions were, as far as the desk was concerned, a matter between you and your memory.
This has been corrected.
what has been arranged
- Build and training progress is now visible directly on the relevant panels, without opening the stores ledger
- Active queue timers appear at the desk, not one room over
- Completed actions are now logged where they can be seen
The quartermaster objected to moving the queue board. He had filed the original placement himself and considered the relocation a commentary on his judgment. I assured him it was not. I asked Jenkins not to raise the subject again. Jenkins raised it twice more before the end of the week.
why this was overdue
A governor who checks in several times a day should spend that time governing, not reconstructing events. When returning to the desk requires detective work, the settlement is harder than it needs to be. That is not the pace we are after.
what is still being arranged
Fleet tracking, the correspondence room, and the map boards. No timeline to offer. The work continues.
