Rankings & Scoring

Every Governor in the archipelago is measured by the wealth they have poured into their domain. The ranking board is a living record of ambition — structures raised, forces mustered, knowledge pursued, and milestones achieved.

What Determines Score

A Governor's score reflects the present strength of the domain across three pillars: structures, research, and military forces. Stronger buildings, broader research, and larger armed forces all lift a Governor higher on the board.

The board is recalculated as fortunes change. Troops lost in battle, buildings battered down, and settlements stripped of strength can pull a Governor downward just as surely as new works and fresh musters raise them.

Completing achievements grants direct score honours on top of the investment total. These milestones reward early progress and exploration, giving newer Governors a meaningful boost as they establish their domain.

Gold spent on structures and research carries far greater weight on the ranking board than the same sum spent mustering troops. Invest where it counts.

The Ranking Board

The board presents two views: Governors ranked by individual score, and Alliances ranked by the combined score of all their members. Tapping any name on the board opens their profile — showing their score, rank, war record, alliance membership, and island holdings.

A Governor's own rank and score appear at the top of the board for quick reference. Scores are recalculated regularly as settlements grow, so the board shifts constantly as Governors compete for position.

War Record

Separate from the score total, every Governor's war record is tracked publicly: total engagements, victories, defeats, draws, and surrenders. The war record does not contribute to score directly, but it tells a story of its own — a Governor with a modest score but a fearsome war record is not one to underestimate.

Score tells the council what a Governor has built. The war record tells rivals what that Governor has survived.

Alliance Standing

An alliance's rank is the combined total of every member's individual score. Each new recruit, each building raised, each research completed by any member lifts the alliance higher on the board. Strong alliances attract active Governors — and active Governors seek strong alliances. The alliance board also displays member count and the age of each alliance, revealing which powers have endured and which are newly formed.

Score and the Bazaar

A Governor's score determines access to the bazaar. As standing increases, higher tiers of rare goods and powerful items become available for purchase. Governors who invest broadly across all three pillars will reach these thresholds sooner than those who specialise narrowly.

The ranking board is more than vanity. It governs access to the bazaar, signals strength to rivals, and marks the legacy a Governor leaves upon the archipelago.
